- Discussion (connection to Task Four):  After reading “How I Learned to Read and Write” by Frederick Douglass, how is his story and yours different?

 

frederick douglass story was differnet than my strory because we both grew up in two very different  time periods.. when frederick was growing up he really didint know  there was a such thing as writing or reading because at that time black people were slaves  and were not allowed to read or write. the more the white told him he was not allowed to read  the more he wanted to learn how  to do it. in todays world everybodyis allowed to read  and write but my generation hates reading  and writting  we rather learn a new  dance than to sit dow and open up a book. so all in all there is a big difference between my time with reading and writting vs frederick  douglass 's it was more of a need and a want thing  back then and now  it more like a why.

when i first started this course anticipated that it would be much harder than it really is at this point. I also anticipated that there would not be as much homework in the class, but im kinda of glad there was more homework than readings.

 

well I  was unsure that i was going to be up to speed with the work and the readings  my teacher was going to be giving us  becasue in high school i really didnt like english to much.

 

 

the process with my reading is to find out some back ground information about the person who wrote what i am reading at the time . then i turn on some music and start to read alittle bit at a time that way i wont get bored with what i am reading . with my writing  processs i kind of just free style at first, and then i collect additonal information about the topic i writing  about. after that i  have one of my pers read what i already have and the information.

Tell about a memorable childhood experience)

The childhood experience that i remember most is the time I had a pool party when i was 8 years old with the whole block at my house. It was so fun being able to just have fun with all my friends and not have to worry about anything in the world. the way the party was setup was really nice, I had alot of thing that you would see at a real swimming pool such as no ruining posters, a mini diving board , and my parents were the life guards at the party. The main reason that I picked this story to write about is because this is the last time i seen my parents working together as a team without trying to kill each other. if i could could go back and replay everything I just mention to you I would. Honestly I just want my parents back together so i can feel normal again.

What sort of problems do you think may arise for Task Two?

What questions do you have for Task Two

1.well the biggest problem people will have with task two is finding some one who will take are interview seriously  and the person we are interviewing giving us there real option on education.

2. the question that i have for task two is does it matter what grade level of education we interview are person about because different people have there own views on middle school education, high school, and college education.

3.i really anticipate to hear all the negative feedback about education in general.

whats sup!!! My name is Damond Roe i was born in Kansas city Missouri July 16th 1991. I love! Kansas city. The city in it self has made me the respectful young adult I am today. I am and very athletic person i love to play pretty much all sports, such as football, basketball ,soccer,tennis,and Ive even tried lacrosse once before. The thing that people hate about me most is my careless attitude when it come to things that really don't benefit me or my future. when I am done with school I would like to have a career in the field of weather(a meteorologist) and maybe!!!!! have a wife and about one kid later on down the line.

In high school I really didn't write much because the topics that my teachers in my school picked were very boring , so when it was time to write i really didn't wanna do it. i just basically did just enough to get by and graduate from school. I really want to improve in every area in my writing so when that day comes and i do try and write a book ill be ready !!!
